It was back to work today. Not to bad. I had a lot of time eaten up by telling stories from my awesome trip. This was a nice distraction from all the lame crap happening around me. I am not getting my review until next year this time and they gave me a 2.4% raise to keep me happy until then... great. Well I gues some raise is better than no raise. *grumble grumble*

Not much to say really. I am just trying to keep up the habit of saying something here everyday. (or every few days ha ha :) )

Oh by the way, feel free to drop me an email. (please no spam or solicitations).

A lot has happened since my last entry. We bought the quads I mentioned and took them on a trip with C & J. We went up to Munds Park and rode around up there for the weekend. I managed to roll my quad already. Fun stuff and no injuries.

Now for the big news. We went on a CRUISE... Oh my god. If you have not done this... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? it was the most awesome vacation I think I have taken since that trip to Europe 4 years ago. The cruise was to Alaska. Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchican. Amazing. We went whale waching and saw Humpbacks, Orcas (killer whales), harbor seals and Bald Eagles from Juneau. We went 4 wheeling into the Yukan and saw lots of georgious scenery, the oldest operating store in the Yukon, and a bearcrossing the road from Skagway and did a little sightseeing on our own in Ketchican. All the while having fantastic meals served to us in style on the ship each night. What an amazing experience. Not to mention the hot tub, the chocolate buffet, the nightly shows, the chance to be closer to the Hubbard Glacier than any other cruise has come before, the crew's freindly and helpfull nature, the amazing scenery out of every window, and dancing the night away in the disco. All this made for a great time I will never forget. The ship was beautiful, the service was wonderfull and everything went off perfectly. I wish I could do it all again this week. However, I need to go back to work to pay for the whole thing. Ha Ha Ha Ha... no seriously...

any how... that was my vacation. Now it is Sunday and I have to go back to work tomorrow. Oh well peaks and valleys, peaks and valleys.

The Weekend is almost over. I wanted to get at least something down. We went Yesterday and looked at quads. I really think we are going to enjoy them. We decided on the Polaris TrailBoss 330. They are a cross between a sport quad and a utility quad. So it should be perfect for us. It is really freaking hot here. I just remember getting back in the car after being in the air conditioned showroom of the motorcycle dealership. It was miserable. I just did not remember how miserable this heat really was. Anyway.
We also went to Best Buy to get a new computer keyboard...
We bought 2 Xbox games a movie and an Xbox controller.
Their keyboard selection was dismal. We went to Fry's later that night and found a much better selection. I ended up with a mini keyboard. It is cool and high- tech looking. I also got a neon light for under the front of my monitor. This of course spurred me to redecorate my computer/music room. I have both computers together on the desk now. It is actually clean. So that pretty much brings us up to date. I spent this morning finishing the cleaning and reorganization process in my room. Then I spent a few hours playing Earth & Beyond (online role playing game). Now I am here writing to a web page that may or may not be read. and even if it is read I will never know. I guess I am doing this to basically have some kind of record of things I may have been thinking about. I was amused by my early posts when I read them a few days ago. So I guess that is reason enough to keep doing it.
Back to work tomorrow...
What do I really want to do about this. I need to answer this question. I need to decide what to do about the fact that I am not very happy about my job. Do I want to reeducate myself or do I just hold on to the job I have. I have a fair amount of security. It is at the cost of my sanity on some days. They just seem to be so petty about things that just should not matter. I mean we are all adults and professionals. I just wonder if there is a job out there where the working environment is encouraging instead of controlling and childish. I need to do some research into the working conditions of jobs in the computer field. "what kind of environment does a network administrator work in." I think computers is more of what I should be doing. Architecture is ok. But sometimes I feel like I would like to be closer to cutting edge technology both at work and at home. I mean I work for a multi-billion dollar company and the computer on my desk, which is the way I make the company money, is not as high-tech as the laptop I am blogging on in my living room. It is depressing. I want I job where I can be exposed to high end technology. Gadgets, computers, audio video, whatever. Is this just a dream. I am a smart guy. I have been sitting in front of a computer for at least 7 years now. And that doesn't even count the time I spent in my high school computer lab. I just need to get more training. I just need some direction. I guess it is time to do some research.
Oh well, Enough about that.
I don't have much else to say so ...

Oh by the way. I have not bought any cigarettes since March 28 2003. So thats like 3 months. Yeah me. ha ha ha
I almost completely forgot about this blog. I was watching TechTV this morning and realized that I had not posted anything to my blog in several months. Then I spent most of my time trying to remember how to set my blog back up so it would be easy to post to it. Now that all of that is done I find myself wanting to get away from my computer. I am hoping to figure out hoe to email in my posts. I read somewhere that it is possible but I can’t seem to find it. I would like to be able to post to my blog from anywhere with my cell phone. I think it will make it much easier to keep up with.
Well I should give a quick life update. I am now working at Toll Brothers. A high end home builder in Scottsdale AZ. I am getting ready to actively start promoting my CD. I need to finish mastering it and come up with names and art work for the cd itself. Lots of work. But I really think I have it this time. I am going to try to sell it for use in movies TV and video games. We'll see what happens. I have to get the dang thing done first. My wife and I are going on a cruise in 2 weeks. I can hardly wait. It is going to be so awesome. It is a 7 day cruise to Alaska. We will be whale watching and renting jeeps and oh so much free food. Well I have a friend coming over to do some recording so I need to get going. It has been nice chatting to you again. Hopefully I will be able to keep up this time. So long for now.
