Things are moving along nicely. We have several projects lined up and a new software package on the way to help.

My sister just graduated high school last night. It was not to bad. The traffic getting there was a PITA. But other than that it was good. We all went to Garcias after for dinner. Good times.

Not much to say at the moment. Got a lot of work to do today. Talk to you soon.

ADT 2006 Ramblings
Adt took a lot of my time last week. It is going to get better. I think I have finally figured out the standards and tool palates setup. I think I am going to start over again and set up a few more things. I am going to try to do it in the mornings. Maybe even do it on a separate part of the server. Then I can throw away the not-so-good version of things as the new stuff is ready to go live. So I want to go through all of my old styles for walls door and windows. I will take my template file from 2005 and save it in the office standards folder. Then I will go in and begin to bring the styles into a clean drawing one at a time after I have fixed them. Then I will create a tool palette set from that drawing and write it to the main tools set. That way when ADT wants to create a separate tool set, I can just leave it empty and use the standard tool palates. Then I will have one catalog and one standards file always pointing at the same thing. Then my method for updating the catalog and the palates should continue to work fine. This might be good this way if I need to I can create project specific styles. But I don't see that happening. Standards should be just that.

On the other hand...

Maybe it would be good to be creating a new standards set for each project. This could then be an ever-evolving system.

No I need the UI and environment to be 100% consistent if at al possible.

Another great weekend. I got my buggy running strong this weekend. I finished the heat cycling on the engine on Saturday night. Then Sunday's bash was a big success. I got some great jumps in with the rustler and a lot of high speed running around with the buggy. I only got one big jump in with the buggy, and I broke the wing mount in the process. It was definitely a fun day.

Things are moving along nicely at the office. I might actually get around to installing the new ADT today. I am excited about getting back into the 3D stuff. We have a couple of cool projects on the books that will be fun to do in 3D.

Man those virus spreader type are really annoying me. It seems every time I turn around, there is some new scam to try and spread viruses around. It is really getting out of hand. You really just can't trust anyone anymore. Opening email is becoming a very dangerous thing to do.

Just some things I was thinking about. Cya

We got ADT 2006 today, but it looks like it will be a few days before I get a chance to load it. I have a project that was dumped on me that I now have to complete before I can move on to the next thing.

I really wanted to start the break-in of my buggy last night, But it just didn't happen. I was afraid I would not have enough time to get the heat cycles in so I just skipped it till Fri. Hopefully I will be able to get a few cycles in on Fri. and then finish it up on Sat. I can't wait to get that thing going.

Concert night tonight. I have to go up to my wife's concert tonight and set up the sound. It should be pretty smooth, I will have some kids to help. I just have to remember to keep my cool. We tend to get a little testy with each other during these stressful times. I am looking forward to this concert because I have not seen this years show yet. I missed it at Disney because I was backstage with the Symphonic band. Should be fun. A late night for sure though. No hobby time tonight.

Well I should get back to work. Cya

Well, Here we are at Tuesday. I messed with my new buggy a little last night. Got the throttle and break linkages set up. Now I just need to get a battery pack and a good set of break in instructions. I hear that process is not the most fun, But it will insure that the engine has a long life.

Work is back to being a pain in the ass. I am picking up someone else’s garbage yet again. This one should not be to bad, but that is just not the point. I guess I am just really getting tired of working on someone else’s projects because they can't get them done. Oh well, this is my life right now, I guess the best thing to do id put on a happy face and try to muddle through the best I can.

That's all for now.

Wow what a great weekend. I won a brand new Ofna Ultra MBX 1/8 scale nitro buggy. I was shocked. The RC club I belong to had a raffle last month. It was a great thing. Brought in lots of money for the club, and brought in a new buggy for me. I was really surprised to win. I don't usually have that kind of luck. Once I figure out how to post pictures on this blog, I will have to show you what it looks like. Let's just say it is sweet! I can hardly wait to get it broken in so I will be able to run it at the big bash this weekend. Should be a blast.

I saw HHG2TG this weekend. It was really funny. Just like the book. IT has been years since I read it. I may have to go back and read it again. It was a cool story. The special effects were very cool. Maybe I can go to the movies and have a good time. This is the first in a long line of movies I actually felt was worth the price of admission. Ok well the price was still way to high, but it was a good movie.

This week is going to be very busy. 2 concerts I have to go to one I don't plus the wedding on Saturday and the bash and burn on Sunday. I am looking at the bright side. Each of the weekend days will include a free meal! :)

Well gotta get back to work. Cya.
